Fad Diets CEU Course

1.25 CDR-Approved CPEUs

$19.99

This dietitian continuing education course explores the ever-changing landscape of fad diets, tracing their evolution from 19th-century low-carbohydrate experiments to today’s viral wellness trends. Participants begin with an overview of what defines a fad diet — quick-fix promises, dramatic results, and health claims that often lack scientific support — while learning to critically evaluate the research (or lack thereof) behind these popular plans.

The course concludes with evidence-based strategies for sustainable weight management and balanced nutrition. Learners will compare fad diet claims to current research on high-protein, low-carb, whole-food, elimination, calorie-restricted, and intermittent fasting approaches, identifying which methods—if any—stand up to scientific scrutiny.

This is a CDR Prior-Approved Activity for RDNs & NDTRs.
Activity #: 190131
CDR Approval Dates: 10/16/2025 – 9/29/2028
